Professional Hair Styling Tools for Every EventEveryone has been in the position of going to a wedding or reunion or even on a date and saying, "I have nothing to wear!" But have you ever asked yourself, "How am I going to do my hair?" Hairstyles are just as important as clothes when it comes to big events. Whether you're going to family gatherings or a girl's night out, you can always take the spotlight with your hairstyles. Some of these hairstyles don't even require the use of hair scissors.

Rule number one of getting the best hairstyle: Dare to be different. Let loose and quit worrying about what others will say about you. Remember, no one two people are 100% the same so we're all supposed to be different from the pack. Always try hairstyles that you've never done before, either. There are so many possibilities out there and, who knows, you could even start a trend!

If you are attending a wedding, your best bet is to do something with curls because they give anyone that fancy, elegant look. The key to attending a wedding is to make sure you don't overdo it. Don't ever go with a hairstyle that looks fancier than the bride's. This is her day and you can't be one to overpower her. If needed, grab your hair scissors and do a quick trim of your bangs or fix those stubborn split ends. Although you don't want to overpower the bride, you do want to give her the compliment of looking good at her wedding. After doing a quick fix with the hair scissors, find a curling iron and give yourself a little bounce. Tight or loose curls can be pulled off easily and could be pinned up in an up-do or could simply be worn down.

Another event everyone loves to make a good impression at is a reunion. People are always looking for outfits and styles to look stunning when they go to High School reunions and see their former classmates. One way to get that look is to try a sleek and straight style. Many people like to use flat irons to get rid of any frizz that may appear but some also use large-barreled curling irons and turn the ends under. The best way to pull of the sleek and straight look is to go to your hairstylist and get a clean, short cut. Use Jenny McCarthy as your inspiration for your new cut and use the best hair scissors you can find.

Another great look to try is a dressed-up ponytail. First, tease your hair at the crown until you get that "bumped up" look. Next, tie it into a low pony with an elastic band. Once you have it at the correct height, take a section of hair from under the ponytail and wrap it around the elastic band. Secure the wrapped piece of hair under the ponytail with a bobby pin. Give it a finishing touch with some hairspray and you're good to go!

Say you're going out for a night on the town with the girls. What kind of hairstyle should you do for this special night? One way to take on the city is by giving yourself soft, wavy tendrils. Take a 1-inch curling iron and turn it down so that the tip of the barrel is pointing at the ground. Next, take a small section of hair and wrap it around the upside-down iron (making sure you don't use the clamp of the barrel.) This will give you fun, flirty waves in your hair. Another fun trend to try is soft, uneven curls. The way to do this best is to take sections of damp or wet hair and twist them tightly. Now pin them up with bobby pins and let them dry. After they have dried let your hair down and spritz it with hairspray.

The next time you have a big event to go to, remember you aren't far from the best look of your life. Your hair needs a little uniqueness every once in a while. Don't be afraid to try different styles besides the every-day ponytail that seems easiest. Although it may seem easier to not mess with hair scissors, keep in mind that they aren't a requirement to get a good look. Any time you need a new style for one of these events, consult your creative mind and come up with a fun look!
